Google Search Console

Read search performance, accessible properties, and URL indexing status.

On this page

Search Console connects with your Google Cloud OAuth app and requests only webmasters.readonly. Agents can read data; they cannot change properties or submit sitemaps.

Before you connect

Complete Google app setup and enable the Search Console API. Confirm that your Google account already has access to the property in Search Console.

Connect Search Console

  1. Select your product and open Tools → Providers → Search Console → Connect Search Console.
  2. Enter Google OAuth Client ID. Use a Desktop client locally or a Web client for a hosted installation.
  3. For a Web client, enter its Client secret and register the exact redirect URI displayed in the form. Its path ends in /api/v1/oauth/search-console/callback.
  4. If YouTube is already connected to this product, choose Use existing Google app to reuse that client’s credentials. Enable Search Console API and add the Web callback first.
  5. Choose Continue to Google, select the account with property access, and authorize the read-only connection.

Try it

Ask Sergio:

List the properties available through Search Console. For example.com, compare clicks and impressions in the last 28 days with the previous 28 days. Identify five queries or pages worth investigating and cite the property and dates used.

Agents can list properties, query Search Analytics, and inspect a URL’s Google index status. Specify the exact property and URL when asking about indexing.

If something goes wrong

If the connection shows no properties, check the Google account’s property permissions. A successful Google sign-in alone does not add property access. For redirect or disabled-API errors, follow Google troubleshooting.

See Google’s Search Console authorization guide for the provider’s access model.
