Agents and skills
Choose the right specialist, shape how they work, and add your own agents.
On this page
Agents combine a role, instructions, reusable skills, and a model. You can talk directly to a specialist or ask Jak to coordinate a task across the team.
Choose an agent
Use Jak for a request that spans disciplines or when you want the team to plan the handoff. Choose a specialist for a focused question or deliverable.
| Agent | Good starting point |
|---|---|
| Jak | Coordinate a campaign or plan the work |
| Reese | Research customers, competitors, and prospects |
| Sergio | Investigate SEO and search opportunities |
| Blair | Draft articles and other content |
| Paige | Improve landing pages and page copy |
| Emilia | Draft emails and lifecycle campaigns |
| Sasha | Draft social content |
| Otto | Develop outreach copy |
| Yousef | Research YouTube and develop video ideas |
| Adam | Develop ad ideas and copy |
| Cody | Read connected source code to explain product behavior |
The roster is editable. The names, instructions, and skills in your Team screen are the source of truth for your installation.
Chat with an agent
- Select an agent in the sidebar.
- Select the Product in the top bar.
- Ask a question or describe a deliverable, its audience, format, and constraints.
- Continue in the same thread to keep the conversation together.
Questions can stay in chat. Actionable requests create tasks; Make task turns a response into a tracked task. Follow-ups can revise work waiting for review. For failed or completed tasks, use the task’s available controls rather than assuming a chat message will reopen it.
Agents can research public web sources without a separate connection when their model supports tool calling. Private analytics, repositories, and other account data need the matching tool connection.
Edit an agent
Open Team and select the agent’s card. You can change:
- Name and Role: how the agent appears in the workspace.
- Instructions: its responsibilities, working method, and output expectations.
- Card description and Example request: help you recognize when to use it.
- Model override: use a particular saved model, or the installation default.
- Assigned skills: reusable instructions to include when it works.
Choose Save agent. Keep lasting working preferences here and product-specific facts in the product brief.
Create an agent
Choose Team → New agent. Give it a clear responsibility, instructions, and any relevant skills. For example:
Role: Customer education writer. Turn verified product behavior into short how-to guides. Use numbered steps, name the controls users will see, and flag anything you cannot verify. Ask for the intended audience when it is missing.
Save the agent, then choose it in chat or as a task lead or contributor. A new agent uses the installation default model unless you select an override.
Create and assign skills
A skill is a reusable set of instructions, such as a research method or writing checklist. Open Skills → New skill to write one or import a SKILL.md file, then save it. Open an agent in Team, select the skill under Assigned skills, and save the agent.
Multiple agents can share a skill. Assigning a skill changes their instructions; connecting a service in Tools supplies account access. A skill alone does not connect an account.
Archive or delete an agent
Use Archive this agent in its editor to retain its chats and schedules while removing it from the active roster. Uncheck it to restore the agent. Check schedules that depend on an archived agent.
Delete agent permanently removes its chats, schedules, tool grants, and assignments; existing task records remain. Jak stays available as coordinator and cannot be deleted.
