Sophie finds the story.
She works through the video transcript, pulls out the useful takeaways and passes a brief with the video link to Maya and Leo.

Maya turns the brief into an email with a subject line and a reason to watch. Leo writes three posts with different angles, in your voice.

Load your story, audience and writing examples before the first task. Preferences and decisions stay available, so nothing begins from a blank chat.

Your agents can work in the background while you build. Set recurring tasks for the work you want done regularly. Review drafts before anything is published or sent.

3FIRST BRIEF

Let’s write this week’s newsletter.

Nora is on it.

Hand over a task. Start with a page rewrite, a newsletter or a channel review.

Why Jak over Claude or Codex?

You could set up a marketing workflow yourself in Claude or Codex. With Jak, the agents, instructions and handoffs come with the app. Give the team a video and you get a newsletter and three social posts back for review.

Make Jak work your way
You get the code behind Jak, so you can change how it works. Teach an agent your writing style, connect a favourite tool or choose who reviews a draft.
Bring your own models
Pick a supported model for each agent. Switch providers when a different model does the job better. Your marketing workflow stays on your server.
No subscription costs
Buy the packaged app once and run it on your own machine or VPS. There’s no recurring Jak fee. You cover hosting, model usage and any paid tools you connect.

Questions before you hire the team?

Where can I host jak?

On your own computer or a VPS that can run Docker with persistent storage, including a DigitalOcean droplet. It’s designed for one installation on one machine. Serverless hosting and temporary filesystems aren’t the intended setup.

Do I need to set up a database?

No separate database server is required. jak creates its local database as part of the installation.

Can I bring my own model?

Yes. You’ll be able to connect supported model providers using your own API keys, including compatible endpoints serving open-source models. Models differ in their ability to use tools, so we’ll document the supported options for launch.

Can I use my ChatGPT subscription?

The initial release is designed around API keys. Don’t assume your ChatGPT or another chat subscription includes the API usage needed to run jak.

Will it work when my laptop is closed?

If jak runs on an always-on VPS, it can keep working independently of your laptop. If you run it locally, your computer needs to stay awake and the app needs to be running.

Can the agents work together?

Yes. One agent can pass research or a brief to another, and multiple agents can work on different parts of a task. For example, your YouTube agent can prepare the brief your newsletter and social agents use.

Will it publish without asking?

The initial workflows are designed around drafts and review. Publishing or sending through a supported integration requires your approval.

If it’s open core, what am I paying for?

The packaged app and a ready-made starting setup: agents, instructions and marketing workflows assembled for you. The core source will be available for people who prefer to build and modify it themselves. Pre-ordering also helps fund development.

Is jak available now?

Not yet. This is a pre-order for a product in development. The expected delivery window is [MONTH YEAR]. The examples above describe the intended experience; confirmed launch integrations will be listed before release.

Give your next launch a team.

Bring the product. Bring your model. Put jak to work.
